Where do seagulls go in winter?
I find this question vexing,
I really need to know.
Do they stay on the beach,
searching for treats?
Or do they fly inland to stay warm?
Hunkering down on a farm,
perhaps sleeping in a barn?
Do they still soar and dip in the air?
In summer, they fly about without a care,
but what about when the beach is bare?
In winter are seagulls laying low?
As the winds howl,
and the snow blows?
What does a seagull eat in winter?
Do they eat crabs for lunch,
can they find berries for dinner?
What does a seagull do in winter?
I really would like to know!
If I am lucky enough to see them,
I will tell them we say hello.
